Validity, Reliability & Scope
Our exams are designed on the basis of international standards in assessment and evaluation.
International Standards of Validity
Exam scope is structured to align with international English language teaching and CEFR criteria. Content validity, construct validity, and reliability coefficients are regularly analysed.
Content Validity
Evaluates the extent to which exam questions represent the language skills intended to be measured. All content is developed and reviewed by subject matter experts in line with CEFR criteria.
Construct Validity
Examines the alignment between the language skills being measured and theoretical language proficiency models. Exams are structured to be fully consistent with international language teaching theories and the CEFR framework.
Reliability Coefficients
Used to analyse whether exam results provide consistent and repeatable measurements. Cronbach's alpha and other reliability indices are calculated for each exam form.
Exam Development Process
Pilot Testing
Every exam form undergoes a pilot phase before deployment, with item analysis conducted on the collected data.
Item Analysis
Discrimination indices and difficulty levels of each item are evaluated to ensure a balanced distribution of easy and challenging questions.
Statistical Analysis
All statistical data is reviewed to continuously monitor the academic integrity, measurement quality, and reliability of each exam.
Continuous Improvement
Exam content is updated and measurement quality is enhanced based on findings from each review cycle.
CEFR-Aligned Scope
Our exams are structured to align with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), covering the full spectrum of English language proficiency.
